Grow in LECA? Let’s run a side-by-side.
We’ve spent 26 years feeding plants in coco, hydro and soil across the US. Semi-hydro is the one we haven’t run properly — so we’re sending free trial kits to growers who live in it, and asking for an honest read back.
Free kit · No strings · Australian-made · Every input on the label
What’s in the kit
Three bottles. Your plants.
A two-part base plus two add-ons. Everything below is read straight off the bottle labels — no mystery blend.

1 L
Roots
Durvillaea potatorum seaplant extract (Southern bull kelp), with 0.075% humic acid and 0.054% vitamin B1 (thiamine). Humic acid may increase micronutrient uptake.

1 L + 1 L
Grow A + Grow B
A two-part base, kept in two bottles and mixed into your water. A: potassium, calcium and ammonium nitrates, iron EDDHA, vitamin B1. B: monopotassium phosphate, potassium nitrate, magnesium sulfate, chelated trace elements, humic acid.

300 ml · RO & rain water only
Cal-Mag
Calcium nitrate, magnesium nitrate, iron DTPA and zinc EDTA. Only goes in the kit if you’re running RO, distilled or rain water — tap water growers won’t need it.
Optional extras
If clear water isn’t the whole point.
These four are the rest of our organic side. We leave them out of the standard kit because they either carry live biology or colour the water, and a lot of semi-hydro growers want a clean, clear reservoir. If your pots are opaque, or you flush and refill rather than letting one reservoir sit for weeks, say the word and we’ll add them. We’d set the rate with you either way.
Seafuel
Southern bull kelp (Durvillaea potatorum) and Southern Bluefin Tuna hydrolysate, with 0.075% humic acid.Carries live biology — best on a flush-and-refill routine, not a reservoir that sits.
Seaweed
Straight Durvillaea potatorum seaweed extract, cold-processed in Australia. Will tint the water.
SWTNR
Carbohydrates and sea minerals, with live biology in the bottle. Will cloud a clear reservoir — opaque pots or regular refills only.
Humate
10% humic acid from leonardite, with potassium hydroxide. Humic acid may increase micronutrient uptake.Dark liquid, and alkaline — expect it to colour the water and lift your pH.
How it works
Simple. Matched plants, straight answers.
- Tell us your setup. Four taps below — plant count, water, what you grow, what you feed now.
- We ship the kit, free. We’ll set your starting rate with you based on your water and how you feed now, then dial it in together. No guessing off a chart built for a different system.
- Split a few matched plants. Same species, same size, same spot. Half stay on your current feed, half go on the kit.
- Snap photos at the start, week 4 and week 8. New growth, roots through the pot, and the reservoir water.
- Tell us straight. Better, worse or no difference — all three are useful to us.
