The Showdown · Jeff, Alex & Pete
Good to see you all at The Showdown. Here’s where I reckon we line up.
I only got there about half an hour before close and had no idea any of you would be there. If I’d known, I’d have been in way earlier. Sorry I couldn’t get out after, I had a family thing on. Next one might be MJBiz, I’ll know once my travel’s sorted.
What this page is
The follow-up I was showing you, built for us.
Same idea as the Dark Horse page I pulled up. Instead of notes lost in a text thread, it’s one page that gets updated as we go.
Check how you’re shown
Your product, your photo and your pricing, the way my shops and growers would see it.
Tell me what’s right
Tap through the questions at the bottom. A couple of minutes, mostly taps.
It feeds everything after
What you send is what I pull from for emails, blogs and follow-up pages. Your words, not my guess.
Cheers, Jeff
Thanks for the intro to Chip. I had no idea who he was or how he tied in with you lot, so that meant a lot. More on that further down.
How I’d present you
Your gear, the way my customers would see it.
This is the partner block that’d sit on my follow-up pages, the ones I send shops and growers after a chat. No cart, no checkout. A grower taps the button, it comes to me with your brand on it, and I pass them on to you by name.
Block top pest monitors
Jeff Hegyi · Algix IPM
Sticky cards that sit on top of the block instead of hanging. They catch pests at the medium, keep the light off it and keep the algae down. Yellow for fungus gnats and whitefly, blue for thrips.
Sticky cards, rolls and light traps
Alex Schroeder · Growers Market Segment Manager
A family-owned company that built its name on glue. 3×5 yellow and blue monitoring cards, 6 and 12 inch ag rolls in 328 ft lengths, and light traps for the rest of the room.
Harvest
Vac seal bags, oven bags and bin liners
Pete Peterson · Director of Sales
Out of Portland since 2018. 5 mil vac seal bags, turkey and goose oven bags, pounder bags, and bin liners for harvest. Food-grade and BPA-free.
Photos are from each company’s own site or Instagram (Algix photo: @algix_solutions). If you’d rather I use different ones, or you’ve got a logo file for me, send them through at the bottom.
Where we overlap
Same grower, different week.
None of us are chasing the same dollar. We’re all in the same room at different points in the run, which is why it makes sense to turn up together.
One follow-up, four brands
When I follow up a shop or a grower, your gear is on the same page as mine.
Shared proof
A trial in one room can show the feed, the pest pressure and the pack-down in the one write-up.
Shared content
Blogs and posts that pull from your side as well as mine, once you tell me what’s fair game.
Chip and the commercial side
Commercial rooms want it simple. So that’s where I’d start.
Chip was telling me his side is strictly commercial, so I’d lead with the products that are easiest to run through irrigation, then bring the rest out depending on the grower.
Easy through the lines

A bit harder through an irrigation system, so these are for the grower who’s chasing a result and will make room for them.

Are you outcome-driven or efficiency-driven? That answer tells me which set to put in front of them. Once there are results back from that side, you three get them too.
Something to pass on
Who we are, in one link.
I’ve put the Bloom story on one short page: what a biostimulant is, where it sits over a base feed, and what’s in the bottle. If someone asks you who the yellow bottle bloke is, send them this.
Each of you has your own link, so I can see whose share brought someone in. Tap to copy yours.

No shop, no cart. Just a clean hand-off.
A grower taps your card
On any of my follow-up pages, your card carries an “Ask Nate” button.
It lands with me, tagged
The enquiry arrives with your brand on it, so nothing gets lost and we can both see where it came from.
I pass them to you by name
An intro from me to you, with the grower on it. You take it from there.
Referrals are an open question
I’d rather hear what works on your side than guess, so there’s a question on it below. And if you want to send people my way the same way, I’m all for it.
Your turn
A couple of minutes, mostly taps.
Pick your name, tap what fits, and add anything I’ve got wrong.
How should I show your pricing?

Product, pack size, price. Skip it if what’s on your card is already right.
What am I right to share?
Tap all that apply.
Where do I pull your content and logo from?
A folder link, your site or your Instagram.
When a grower asks about your gear, how do you want them?
Best contact for those leads

Referrals
No wrong answer. It just tells me where to start the conversation.
Sharing the other way
Tap all that apply.
Anything I’ve got wrong, or want added?
Send opens your email app with everything filled in, so you just hit send. If it doesn’t open, tap Copy and paste it into a text or email to me.

What I’m waiting on.
Jeff and Alex: your logos
I’ve got Pete’s. Send yours through and it goes straight on your card.
Pete: bag pricing
You sent me a wholesale sheet back in March. Tell me above how you want it shown to my customers and I’ll set it up that way.
Alex: your details
I don’t have an email for you yet. Drop your best contact in the form and I’ll keep you in the loop directly.
