South Cascade Organics and Bloom
South Cascade Organics makes one thing: SLF-100, an enzyme cleaner for hydro systems and soilless media. Bloom has no enzyme product, so the two sit side by side in the same program.

They keep the root zone clean, Bloom feeds it.
SLF-100 is an OMRI listed enzyme formula with no added sugars or NPK. Its page says it breaks out salts and keeps hydro systems and soilless media clear of buildup. Bloom doesn’t make an enzyme or cleaner, so there’s no overlap at all. Bloom’s weekly bottles go in on top.
- Stays as is: SLF-100, weekly in the mix, after a changeout in hydro, or as a flush.
- No overlap: nothing in Bloom’s range does an enzyme job.
- Not on their list: base feed, stage additives, kelp, humic, silica and foliars.
South Cascade Organics and Bloom in short
SLF-100, on its weekly, hydro or flush schedule.
A base feed, Roots, Humate, Sea Minerals, Seaweed, Seafuel, the stage additives, SWTNR, Cal-Mag, Silica and foliars.
Why each one fits
What the Bloom product does, the research behind that kind of input, and where it sits in a program that already runs.
Clean media, then humic and roots
What it does. Humate is 10% humic acid at 2.5 ml/L weekly, seedling through flush. Roots is amino acids, B vitamins and fulvic acid at 0.5 ml/L weekly, or 1 ml/L as a cutting dip.
A major review links humic substances to changes in root structure and function tied to nutrient uptake, including more lateral roots. It doesn’t test either company’s products.
How it stacks. SLF-100 works on buildup in the media; Humate and Roots go into the feed. Their page says SLF-100 is compatible with all nutrients and rooting compounds.
Kelp and tuna in the tank
What it does. Seaweed is southern bull kelp; Seafuel is tuna and kelp. Both run at 1 ml/L weekly: Seaweed from seedling through the flush, Seafuel from clone through late flower.
Reviews of seaweed extracts report effects on growth and stress tolerance across many crops. Work on protein hydrolysates, which fish inputs belong to, is newer and links them to nutrient uptake. None of it tests these bottles or cannabis.

How it stacks. In hydro, SLF-100 goes in after feeding or a changeout. Bloom’s tonics go into the fresh mix. Our read: keep the two on their own days if you want to see what each one does.
A base and a bottle per stage
What it does. Euro A+B is a two-part base at 1–2 ml/L each part. Pre runs mid veg, Ultra at the flip, Phat in weeks 3 and 4, Ooze from week 5 to the flush, and Final for the last two weeks. These are feeding and timing tools, so there’s no study cited for them here.
How it stacks. SLF-100 has no NPK and no sugars, so it doesn’t change the feed math. The base and stage bottles run as charted, with SLF-100 on its weekly slot (our read).

SLF-100’s page says it works in all phases of the growing cycle, weekly in the mix or after changeouts in hydro. The flush rate is for breaking out salts whenever needed; it’s drawn pale at the flush (our read). Bloom’s bars follow its weekly feed charts; pale Bloom bars are as-needed bottles.
Their line, Bloom’s fit at a glance
Matched on job. South Cascade prints teaspoons per gallon of water; Bloom prints ml per litre on a weekly feed chart. Tap a tag to filter.
Keeps soilless media clear of buildup. It stays on its own schedule.
Their page says it works with all nutrients, so Bloom’s bottles run in the same system.
A salt break-out when you need it. Nothing in Bloom’s range does this job.
SLF-100 has no NPK, so a base feed runs alongside it either way.
Amino acids, B vitamins and fulvic acid from cuttings through flower.
10% humic acid, plus trace minerals from sea water.
Southern bull kelp, and a tuna and kelp tonic, through the cycle.
One bottle for each part of the grow, mid veg to the flush.
Carbohydrates and potassium, calcium and magnesium, and potassium silicate.
Foliar sprays for veg and the flip, outside the feed line.
Where the programs complement each other
Clean media, fed weekly
SLF-100 keeps hydro systems and soilless media clear of buildup. Bloom has no enzyme product, so Humate, Roots, Seaweed and Seafuel run right alongside it.
No NPK on their side, full program on ours
SLF-100 carries no NPK or sugars. Bloom’s bases, stage bottles and tonics fill the feed side without any overlap.
OMRI listed growers
SLF-100 is OMRI listed and the brand grew out of a family organic farm. Growers who pick it for that reason may also look at Bloom’s kelp, fish and humic inputs (our read).
Already covered
- Enzymes. SLF-100, a proprietary blend of naturally occurring enzymes.
- Salt break-out. Weekly, after changeouts, or a three-day flush at up to 2x.
- Organic listing. SLF-100 is OMRI listed per their site.
Stays exactly as is
- SLF-100. Bloom has no enzyme or cleaner, so it keeps its slot.
- The flush routine. Bloom has no flush or clearing solution.
Background, science and sources
Who South Cascade Organics are
South Cascade Organics grew out of a family organic vegetable farm and started in a dining room. Its SDS lists South Cascade Organics, LLC in Grants Pass, Oregon. The pages we read don’t name an owner or parent company.
Their site is built around one product, SLF-100, described as an enzymatic formula with over 18 years of use. It’s 100% organic and OMRI listed per the site, pH neutral, compatible with H2O2, and made for hydroponic systems and soilless media. They sell through an online shop and stores.
What each company brings
South Cascade Organics: A single OMRI listed enzyme formula, SLF-100, for keeping hydro systems and soilless media clear of salt buildup, with weekly, hydro and flush rates.
Bloom: one additive for each stage of the crop, seaweed, humic and sea mineral inputs, foliar sprays, and weekly feed charts for soil, coco and hydro. Rates and timing are on every product page.
Cropping Solutions, the other brand under Agricultural Organics, isn’t part of this report.
Dose basis: how each side counts
South Cascade prints SLF-100 in teaspoons per gallon of water: 1 tsp (about 4.9 mL) per gallon is about 1.3 ml/L, and 1/2 tsp per gallon is about 0.65 ml/L.
SLF-100 has no NPK, so its dose doesn’t add to the feed. Bloom’s rates are ml per litre of nutrient solution on a weekly chart.
Mix calculator
Rates as printed on each company’s page (1 US gallon is 3.785 L). Bloom’s rates are per litre of nutrient solution, dosed weekly per its feed charts. Pick a product and your tank size.
