GreenGro and Bloom
GreenGro builds the soil. Bloom pours in on top of it. Here’s how their myco, top-dress blends and Hybrid feeds line up with Bloom’s weekly bottles.

Living soil first, liquid tonics on top.
GreenGro’s range is myco, biochar, worm castings and dry top-dress blends, plus two water-soluble Hybrid feeds. Their list has no stand-alone liquid seaweed or fish tonic, no cal-mag, no silica and no stage additives. Those are the weekly bottles Bloom adds over the soil you’ve already built.
- Stays as is: Premium Ultrafine Myco, Pride Lands Veg and Bloom top-dress, Earthshine Biochar and the soils.
- Both have one: a carb, a late-flower booster, an amino and a base you can run in a reservoir.
- Not on their list: liquid kelp and tuna, cal-mag, sea minerals, silica and stage additives.
GreenGro and Bloom in short
The myco, Pride Lands top-dress blends, Earthshine Biochar, castings and soils.
Hybrid feeds, Nature’s Brix, Flower Finisher, Green Aminos and Defense each sit near a Bloom product.
Liquid Seaweed and Seafuel, Cal-Mag, Sea Minerals, Silica, and the Pre, Ultra and Phat stage additives.
Their line, Bloom’s fit at a glance
Matched on job, not NPK. GreenGro prints teaspoons and tablespoons per gallon and cups per area; Bloom prints ml per litre on a weekly feed chart. Tap a tag to filter.
Bloom doesn’t make an inoculant, so the myco stays. Bloom’s weekly bottles follow it in.
Keep the top-dress. Bloom’s liquids go into the water you feed it with.
Same story in flower. The dry blend stays and Bloom’s flower bottles sit on top.
Soil building is GreenGro’s ground. Nothing in Bloom’s range does this job.
Both ranges have a pest product. Read both labels before you run them in the same room.
Both are bases you can run through a reservoir. Run one base, then add Bloom’s weekly bottles on top.
Both put carbohydrates in. Nature’s Brix is a flower-stage soil product; SWTNR starts in veg week 2 and adds potassium.
Both sit late in flower. Plan the stack so the P-K doesn’t double up, or pick one.
Both bring amino acids to the cutting. Roots also carries B vitamins and fulvic acid into the weekly feed.
Their kelp rides inside the myco and Brix. Seaweed and Seafuel are liquid tonics dosed weekly through the cycle.
Calcium and magnesium with iron and zinc, plus trace minerals from sea water, for soil, coco or hydro.
Potassium silicate, labelled 0-0-4, veg through early flower.
One bottle for mid veg, one for the flip and stretch, one for flower weeks 3 and 4.
Why each one fits
What the Bloom product does, the research behind that kind of input, and where it sits in a program that already runs.
Kelp and tuna in the watering can
What it does. Seaweed is southern bull kelp; Seafuel is tuna and kelp. Both run at 1 ml/L weekly: Seaweed from seedling through the flush, Seafuel from clone through late flower, tapering at the flush.
Reviews of seaweed extracts report effects on growth and stress tolerance across many crops. Work on protein hydrolysates, which fish inputs belong to, links them to nutrient uptake, though stress data is thinner. None of it tests these bottles or cannabis.
Ali et al. (2021), Plants (review) · Malécange et al. (2023), Int J Mol Sci (review)
How it stacks. GreenGro’s myco goes in once at transplant. Seaweed and Seafuel follow in the weekly water, over a Pride Lands top-dress or a Hybrid reservoir. Our read: add one thing at a time and watch runoff.
Cal-mag, sea minerals and silica
What it does. Cal-Mag is calcium and magnesium with iron and zinc at 1 ml/L weekly. Sea Minerals is trace minerals from sea water at 0.13 ml/L weekly. Silica is potassium silicate at 0.33 ml/L weekly, added first.
How it stacks. Cal-Mag works in soil, coco and hydro, so it sits with either the Pride Lands top-dress or a Hybrid reservoir. Green Aminos also lists calcium, so watch the total if you run both (our read).
One bottle per stage
What it does. Pre in mid veg (weeks 2–3), Ultra at the flip (flower weeks 1–2), Phat in flower weeks 3 and 4. 1, 1 and 2.5 ml/L, weekly. These are timing tools, so there’s no study cited for them here.
How it stacks. GreenGro sets the soil and the top-dress rhythm. These go into the same weeks as liquids, without changing the dry feed (our read).
Myco at the root, Roots in the feed
What it does. Roots runs at 1 ml/L as a cutting dip, or 0.5 ml/L weekly from cuttings and veg through flower, stopping in the final 1–2 weeks. It carries amino acids, B vitamins and fulvic acid.
How it stacks. GreenGro’s page says the myco goes on once, not as a recurring feed. Roots can follow in the weekly feed after it. Green Aminos does a similar amino job at the cutting, so run one or test them side by side (our read).
Put it side by side
Where both ranges have a product for the same job, the fair answer is a test in your own room. Here’s what to watch and how to keep it fair.
Keeping it fair
- Same plants. Clones off the same mother, same cultivar, same age.
- Same room. Same light, climate, media, pot size and watering.
- Same base. Keep the base feed and EC the same on both sides.
- One change. Change only the product being tested, and write down what you see each week.
Where each bottle sits in the cycle

Timing comes from each GreenGro product page. The myco goes on once at transplant or cloning. Green Aminos is used in the rooting solution and the page says it helps through the life cycle without a set interval, so it’s pale after the cutting. Their pages don’t give a stop week for Pride Lands Bloom, so the last two weeks are pale (our read). Nature’s Brix runs through flower and their page says plain water for the final 10 days. Flower Finisher runs the last four weeks of flower, with a single foliar at the transition. Bloom’s bars follow its weekly feed charts; pale Bloom bars are as-needed bottles.
Where the programs complement each other
Their soil, Bloom’s tonics in the can
GreenGro’s list has no stand-alone liquid kelp, fish, cal-mag, sea-mineral or silica product. Seaweed, Seafuel, Cal-Mag, Sea Minerals and Silica go in at 0.13–1 ml/L weekly over a Pride Lands top-dress.
Myco once, Roots after it
Bloom has no inoculant, so GreenGro’s myco stays as the transplant step. Roots can carry on at 0.5 ml/L weekly in the feed once plants are in (our read).
Plan the finish together
Flower Finisher, Nature’s Brix, PK, SWTNR, Ooze and Final all work late in flower. A grower running both ranges would want one plan for those weeks, or a side-by-side test.
Already covered
- Soil biology. Premium Ultrafine Myco and Granular Plus Myco at transplant.
- Dry feeding. Pride Lands Veg and Pride Lands Bloom top-dress blends.
- Soil building. Earthshine Biochar, worm castings and potting soils.
- Water-soluble base. Hybrid Veg and Hybrid Bloom for soil or reservoirs.
Stays exactly as is
- The myco. Bloom doesn’t make an inoculant.
- Pride Lands top-dress. Bloom has no dry products.
- Biochar, castings and soil. Bloom doesn’t make growing media.
- Nature’s Brix, Flower Finisher and Green Aminos. If they’re working in your room, keep them, or test Bloom’s next to them.
Background, science and sources
Who GreenGro are
GreenGro Biologicals is a California soil biology brand. Its site says founder Mark Ervin started it in 2009, drawing on the terra preta soils of the Amazon, to make biologically focused fertilizers and soil amendments. The pages we read don’t name a parent company or a street address.
The range covers mycorrhizal inoculants, Pride Lands dry veg and bloom blends, two water-soluble Hybrid feeds, Green Aminos, Nature’s Brix, Flower Finisher, Earthshine Biochar, worm castings, soils, a soil pest barrier and a water filter. They sell online through thegreengro.com, list a store locator and offer commercial consultations, and publish top-dress and Hybrid feed schedules.

What each company brings
GreenGro: Mycorrhizal inoculants, dry top-dress blends with biochar and microbes, water-soluble Hybrid feeds for soil or reservoirs, aminos, a carbohydrate supplement, a late-flower finisher, biochar, castings and soils, with printed top-dress and feed schedules.
Bloom: one additive for each stage of the crop, seaweed, humic and sea mineral inputs, foliar sprays, and weekly feed charts for soil, coco and hydro. Rates and timing are on every product page.
Cropping Solutions, the other brand under Agricultural Organics, isn’t part of this report.
Dose basis: how each side counts
GreenGro prints rates by volume: teaspoons and tablespoons per gallon of water for the solubles, and cups per area or tablespoons per gallon of soil for the top-dress. Bloom prints ml per litre on a weekly feed chart. A US gallon is 3.785 L.
Their products are powders and granules measured by the spoon, so there’s no fair ml/L conversion to put next to Bloom’s liquids. Treat the two sides as different steps rather than matching numbers.

Mycorrhizal fungi and the root zoneWell supported
Begum and colleagues (2019) review arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi: how the association improves phosphorus supply to roots, its links to other nutrients, and its role in tolerance to drought, salinity and temperature stress.
Why it matters here: GreenGro’s myco products carry this kind of fungi, and Bloom has no inoculant, so it’s the step that stays. The review is general plant science and doesn’t test either company’s products.
