Fit Report · Compatibility with Bloom

Rock Nutrients and Bloom

Rock Nutrients’ site shows one bottle: Resinator, a PK flower additive. Bloom has a PK bottle too. Here’s how the two sit in a flower program, and what else goes around them.

Where Bloom fits · the biggest difference

One bottle for flower, and the rest of the cycle.

Resinator is a 0-7-8 phosphorus and potassium additive that runs from the second week of flower to harvest. It’s the only product on Rock Nutrients’ site. Bloom’s PK sits in the same part of the grow, and Bloom’s other bottles cover the weeks and jobs either side of it.

  • Both have one: a PK bottle for flower. Resinator runs from flower week 2; Bloom’s PK is an as-needed bottle at week 5.
  • Not on their list: a base feed, root, veg and flip additives, kelp, humic, silica and foliars.
  • How to use this: keep Resinator if it’s working, and plan the rest of the program around it.
Where both ranges have one

Put it side by side

Where both ranges have a product for the same job, the fair answer is a test in your own room. Here’s what to watch and how to keep it fair.

ResinatorandPK
What to watch: Start week, runoff EC each week from flower week 2, and how the plants hold colour late in flower.

Keeping it fair

  1. Same plants. Clones off the same mother, same cultivar, same age.
  2. Same room. Same light, climate, media, pot size and watering.
  3. Same base. Keep the base feed and EC the same on both sides.
  4. One change. Change only the product being tested, and write down what you see each week.

Where a job isn’t on Rock Nutrients’s list

Why each one fits

What the Bloom product does, the research behind that kind of input, and where it sits in a program that already runs.

Both have one · flower

Resinator and PK in one plan

What it does. Bloom’s PK is labelled 0-19.5-21 at 1 ml/L. It’s shown at flower week 5 on Bloom’s chart, but it’s an as-needed bottle, used depending on conditions, and it stops at the flush.

The science Well supported

A review of potassium covers its roles in enzyme activation, photosynthesis, stomatal control and stress tolerance. It’s general plant science and doesn’t test either product or timing.

Hasanuzzaman et al. (2018), Agronomy (review)

How it stacks. Resinator is already putting P and K in from flower week 2. If you run it, PK may not be needed at all; add it only if the plants ask for it, and watch runoff EC (our read).

PK

Not on their list · by stage

The weeks either side of Resinator

What it does. Pre in mid veg (weeks 2–3) and Ultra at the flip (flower weeks 1–2), then Phat in weeks 3 and 4, Ooze from week 5 right through the flush, and Final for the last two weeks alongside Ooze. These are timing tools, so there’s no study cited for them here.

How it stacks. Pre and Ultra finish before or as Resinator starts. Phat, Ooze and Final run in the same weeks as Resinator, so build the flower mix up slowly and check EC (our read).

Pre · Ultra · Phat · Ooze · Final

Not on their list · weekly

Kelp, tuna and humic through the cycle

What it does. Seaweed is southern bull kelp at 1 ml/L weekly, seedling through flush. Seafuel is tuna and kelp at 1 ml/L weekly. Humate is 10% humic acid at 2.5 ml/L weekly.

The science Well supported

Reviews of seaweed extracts report effects on growth and stress tolerance across many crops, and a major review links humic substances to root changes tied to nutrient uptake. Neither tests these bottles or cannabis.

Ali et al. (2021), Plants (review) · Canellas et al. (2015), Scientia Horticulturae (review)

How it stacks. Resinator’s page says it suits all grow systems and media. These run in the same tank from early on, well before Resinator starts (our read).

Resinator’s page says to start in the second week of flowering and run through harvest. The flip block is pale because it starts partway through. It’s the only product on their site. Bloom’s bars follow its weekly feed charts; pale Bloom bars are as-needed bottles.

Where we fit together

Where the programs complement each other

High · flower

Resinator in flower, Bloom’s stage bottles around it

Resinator covers PK from flower week 2. Pre and Ultra come before it, and Phat, Ooze and Final can run in the same weeks, built up slowly with EC checks (our read).

High · whole cycle

A full program around one bottle

Their site lists no base, root, kelp, humic or silica products. Bloom’s bases and weekly tonics fill those weeks, with Resinator kept in as the grower’s flower pick.

Medium · PK

Two PK bottles, planned not doubled

Resinator is 0-7-8 and Bloom’s PK is 0-19.5-21. Run one, or keep PK in reserve as the as-needed bottle (our read).

Already covered

  • PK in flower. Resinator, from flower week 2 through harvest.
  • Mild or strong. 6 mL/gal for a mild mix, up to 10 mL/gal.

Stays exactly as is

  • Resinator. If it’s working in your room, keep it, and plan Bloom’s other bottles around it.
  • Your base feed. Resinator goes into whatever nutrient solution you run.
More detail

Background, science and sources

Who Rock Nutrients are

Rock Nutrients says its nutrients were developed by growers for growers. Its site shows one product, Resinator, plus video, resources and a store locator. The pages we read don’t give a location, owner or parent company.

Resinator Heavy Yields is a 0-7-8 flower enhancer. Its page says it supplies soluble phosphorus and potassium to flowering sites, suits all grow systems and media, and carries a “NO PGR’s” note. Rates are 6 mL per gallon for a mild mix, up to 10 mL per gallon, from the second week of flowering through harvest.

What each company brings

Rock Nutrients: A single concentrated PK flower additive, Resinator, that runs from flower week 2 through harvest in any system or media.

Bloom: one additive for each stage of the crop, seaweed, humic and sea mineral inputs, foliar sprays, and weekly feed charts for soil, coco and hydro. Rates and timing are on every product page.

Cropping Solutions, the other brand under Agricultural Organics, isn’t part of this report.

Dose basis: how each side counts

Rock prints Resinator per US gallon: 6 mL/gal mild, up to 10 mL/gal, about 1.6–2.6 ml/L. Bloom’s PK is 1 ml/L, an as-needed bottle on a weekly chart.

The analyses differ (0-7-8 and 0-19.5-21), so the same volume isn’t the same amount of P and K. Resinator’s page doesn’t state how often to add it beyond the rates.

Mix calculator

Rates as printed on each company’s page (1 US gallon is 3.785 L). Bloom’s rates are per litre of nutrient solution, dosed weekly per its feed charts. Pick a product and your tank size.
