Grower Story / Trial Proof
Inside the FROST Trial: What “Verified” Actually Means Here

Every nutrient brand says its products work. Most of that is a label claim, a marketing adjective, or a photo of a nice-looking plant with no context around how it got that way. We’d rather point you at something you can actually check: the FROST trial, a published, third-party-verified look at what happens when OOZE and PHAT run together on top of an existing feed program.
You can see the full write-up any time at bloomyellowbottles.us/frost/. This post is about what “third-party verified” means in practice, and why we built the whole FROST proof around it instead of just telling you to trust the bottle.
What FROST actually is
FROST is a terpene trial verified through SC Labs’ PhytoFacts program — an independent, third-party lab testing pathway that cannabis brands use to put real, lab-generated data behind a product claim instead of a marketing one. The trial looked at OOZE and PHAT run together, layered onto a grower’s existing base program, through to finish. It’s not an in-house number we generated and printed ourselves. It went through an outside lab.
Why that distinction matters
A brand grading its own homework isn’t proof, it’s an opinion with a graphic designer attached. Independent verification means the lab doesn’t work for us and has no reason to make OOZE and PHAT look good. That’s the entire point of building a campaign around a PhytoFacts-verified trial instead of a testimonial: it doesn’t rely on anyone’s word, ours included.
How OOZE and PHAT fit into a program that’s already working
Neither product is a replacement for a base feed program. Both are built to layer on top of whatever a grower is already running — the same base salts, the same schedule — as a finishing and terpene-support layer late in flower. Nothing to rip out, nothing to re-learn. That’s the practical reason FROST tested them stacked together rather than in isolation: it’s how they’re actually meant to be used.
It’s also why this pillar of our blog leans on trial data and real grower results rather than adjectives. A “Grower Story” post from us is only worth writing when there’s something concrete behind it — a published trial, a confirmed quote, a real result we can point to and stand behind. FROST is the clearest example we have of that standard in practice right now, which is why it’s worth revisiting even though the trial itself has been public for a while: the point was never to run it once and move on, it was to have something growers could keep checking against.
What we’re deliberately leaving out — and why
You may notice this post doesn’t include a grower quote. We have one on file from a trial participant, and it’s a good one — but we haven’t confirmed attribution and permission to publish it yet. Until a quote is confirmed with the grower who said it, it doesn’t go on the site or in a blog post, full stop. That’s true even when the quote would make the pitch stronger. Trial data that’s actually been verified isn’t the same standard as a quote we haven’t cleared, and we’re not going to blur that line just because it’s inconvenient.
The same discipline applies to how the trial gets described anywhere it appears: no guarantee language, no “you’ll get the same results,” no implied promise beyond what the lab actually measured. Read the full FROST page and you’ll notice it’s written the same way — proof presented as proof, not dressed up as a guarantee.
Why this is worth caring about at all
Bloom has been formulating and manufacturing this range out of Green Fields, South Australia for 26 years. That’s long enough to know the difference between a product that photographs well once and a program that holds up trial after trial. FROST is one data point in that longer track record — not a launch story, not a new-and-unproven pitch.
See it for yourself
The full FROST trial write-up, including the SC Labs PhytoFacts verification, is live and open to read — no gate, no email capture. If you’re already running OOZE and PHAT, this is the data behind what you’re feeding. If you’re not, it’s the clearest starting point we have for deciding whether the terpene layer is worth adding to your own program.
Bloom OOZE and PHAT are manufactured by Agricultural Organics (Aust) P/L, Green Fields, South Australia. Product labels carry no USDA or California organic claim. Always follow your own state and local regulations for use with any crop.
